Sorrow and outrage swept through the Efeyi-Utikpi Ugboju community in the Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State on Saturday as residents gathered to conduct a mass burial for victims killed during a violent attack by armed herdsmen. The victims were killed on Tuesday, July 28, when suspected armed herders attacked the Efeyi-Utikpi, an agrarian community in the Ugboju District of Otukpo. The early morning raid left 15 people dead, several others injured, and homes destroyed.
