A day after Pakistan signed a defence agreement with Saudi Arabia and Turkey, Pakistan defence minister Khawaja Asif on Saturday called for Islamic countries to set aside their differences and form a military alliance along the lines of Nato.

Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey are set to sign a trilateral defence agreement, aiming to establish a unified security alliance dubbed the 'Islamic Nato' in West Asia.

Armed attack on any of the countries will be treated as an attack against them all.
