Trabzonspor fans mob Mo Salah as he arrives in Turkey

Trabzonspor fans and journalists mobbed Mo Salah as he arrived in Turkey for a welcome ceremony on Wednesday (5 August). The Liverpool icon left Anfield as a free agent at the end of last season. He has been pictured by the Turkish club wearing the team’s colours ahead of signing his contract on Thursday. Salah, who will wear the number 61 shirt at his new club, said in a video posted by the club on Wednesday: “Trabzon, are you ready? I can hear you, see you very soon.” Footage from Istanbul shows fans greeting the Egyptian footballer. Trabzonspor are generally viewed as the fourth-biggest side in Turkey, based in the city of Trabzon. They have been champions of Turkey seven times.
