A row has broken out over allegations some riders are artificially exaggerating their bust size to gain a “bra booster” aerodynamic advantage for the time trial.

Cyclists are suspected of placing padding in their bras - which redirects air flow around the body, thus reducing resistance - in a banned practice known as chest fairing.
