Centre to launch Sampoorn Gobardhan Scheme on August 10 to boost CBG production

The Centre will launch the Sampoorn Gobardhan Scheme on August 10 to accelerate compressed biogas production. This new scheme offers higher procurement prices and enhanced capital subsidies for new projects. It aims to address execution challenges faced by the previous SATAT scheme. Mandatory blending of compressed biogas with natural gas supplies is increasing. Fresh investments are critical to meet higher blending targets over the next three years.
