The University of California, Berkeley—on behalf of its Department of Physics and the Roger Herst Quantum Nexus—has signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with quantum automation developer QuantrolOx to advance the industrialization of superconducting quantum computing. Effective July 7, 2026, the non-binding framework combines UC Berkeley’s open, “white-box” superconducting qubit hardware testbeds with QuantrolOx’s machine-learning-driven Quantum EDGE software suite to transition quantum hardware operations from manual laboratory experiments to automated, reproducible workflows.
