UC Berkeley and QuantrolOx have signed a five-year MOU to collaborate on advancing quantum computing industrialisation through automated, standardised, and scalable development processes.

The partnership combines UC Berkeley’s superconducting quantum research capabilities with QuantrolOx’s machine-learning software for automated qubit characterisation, calibration, and control.

The collaboration will focus on quantum hardware development, AI-assisted calibration, integrated control systems, workforce training, and shared research activities.

Press release – The University of California, Berkeley, on behalf of its Department of Physics and the Roger Herst Quantum Nexus, and QuantrolOx Inc. have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) establishing a five-year framework for collaboration on the end-to-end industrialisation of quantum computing – advancing the technology from bespoke, laboratory-scale experimentation toward standardised, automated, and manufacturable systems for real-world applications.
