Pappu Yadav claims assassination attempt during a press conference amid Ram Mandir protest row

A confrontation occurred at the residence of Purnia MP Pappu Yadav on August 2 during a press conference, following his portrayal of a temple priest in saffron robes during a Parliament skit on the Ram Mandir held on July 31.The clash unfolded as individuals allegedly tried to confront Yadav, leading to a scuffle involving his supporters. After the incident, Yadav alleged that the event was an assassination attempt and claimed a bounty had been placed on him. “Babas are saying every day, ‘Kill me, burn me down; we will give ₹51 lakh.’ We caught him and handed him over to the police. There was a plot to kill me, but I survived,” he said.
