The drop would mark the stock’s worst day since the pandemic-driven sell-off in March 2020, just days after it touched the $US5 trillion mark on Wall Street.

Shares of the company were down more than 4% in extended trading on Wednesday, while Apple shares were flat.

Apple turned in another solid earnings report for the June 2026 quarter, which marks the last earnings period for outgoing CEO Tim Cook.
