DUBAI: British group Massive Attack is being investigated by police in Singapore after members of the band reportedly raised a Palestinian flag on stage during a concert there on Wednesday. The band played The Star Theatre, its only date in the country on the current tour. The Straits Times reported that people on stage raised a flag toward the end of the set. Video shared online showed the two men holding it between them while the audience applauded. Police confirmed to the BBC that an investigation was underway.

Singapore does not allow the public display of foreign national emblems without a permit or exemption.

“IMDA is also investigating a possible breach of licence conditions,” the police and the Infocomm Media Development Authority told CNA.
