Jamaica had a lot to celebrate on day four of the athletics programme at the 2026 Commonwealth Games. The island picked up four medals across three different events at the Scotstoun Stadium in Glasgow, Scotland. Samantha Hall picked up an historic gold in the women’s discus. It was Jamaica’s first-ever medal in women’s discus at the Games. Jamaica also won medals in the women’s triple jump and the women’s 100m hurdles final. Hall topped the discus field with 61.66m, with Canada’s Julia Tunks second with 60.67m and India’s Seema, third with a best of of 58.65m.
