Nigerian Police Transfer Accord Party House Of Reps Candidate To Abuja After Arrest, Charges Remain Unclear

The Accord Party candidate for the Ijesa South Federal Constituency in the forthcoming election, Alaba Popoola, popularly known as Alabama, has been transferred to Abuja by the Nigerian police days after his arrest, with the reasons for his detention and any formal charges against him still unclear. SaharaReporters gathered that after his arrest last week Saturday, he was subsequently transferred to the Intelligence Response Team office in Wuzape, Abuja.
