With strike and lockout notices issued by the union and airline, flight attendants could walk off the job as soon as Sunday. That leaves passengers to decide whether they want to hope for a deal, or make other travel plans.

As with last summer's brief strike by Air Canada workers, one issue is payment for work performed while on the ground.
