NEW DELHI: State-owned Coal India Limited (CIL) on Tuesday said its capital expenditure in the June quarter of the ongoing financial year rose 16.6% to Rs 3,399 crore, with land acquisition and related rehabilitation and resettlement expenses accounting for nearly a fourth of the total capex.

Coal India reports a marginal 0.7% rise in Q1 net profit to ₹8,850 crore, driven by increased total income and revenue.
