Paramount paused its $111 billion Warner Bros. merger to fast-track a court trial as states challenge the deal over competition concerns and antitrust issues. | Business News

Paramount has agreed not to close its $111 billion merger with Warner Bros. until the outcome of an antitrust trial.

The studio and coalition of states looking to block the deal reached a truce on when Paramount can close the deal, if at all.

Paramount said they would halt the merger until either the remedy of its legal battle or June 1, 2027, whichever date comes sooner.
