North Carolina placed football general manager Michael Lombardi on paid administrative leave, the Tar Heels announced Monday. He was hired in 2024.

Michael Lombardi joined Bill Belichick at UNC ahead of the 2025 season as the highest-paid general manager with an annual salary of $1.5 million.

Lombardi, a former NFL executive with three decades of experience in the league, arrived at North Carolina with Bill Belichick last year.
