Sonam Wangchuk's ‘Gandhian’ message to youth after Jantar Mantar protest success

At Rajghat, activist Sonam Wangchuk paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and said the success of the recent movement reaffirmed the relevance of Gandhi's path of peaceful protest even a century later. Crediting non-violence, self-sacrifice and public participation for the movement's gains, Wangchuk said achievements came through peaceful appeals rather than force. Congratulating the youth and organisers for keeping the agitation peaceful, he urged people across India and the world to pursue justice through non-violent means. On Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, Wangchuk said the resignation was only a beginning and expressed hope that it would lead to deeper reforms and a better system through dialogue and consensus.
