St Catherine South police arrest suspect in Tuesday’s murder of Portmore taxi operator

The St Catherine South Police have arrested a suspect in connection with Tuesday’s murder of a taxi operator in Portmore and seized a prohibited weapon and two rounds of ammunition. According to the police, 36-year-old Andre McKenzie, a taxi operator of Arura Close in Watson Grove, Gregory Park, St Catherine, was shot and killed along Dawkins Drive in Portmore at about 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Following the incident, detectives pursued several leads.
