US strikes widen Iran conflict to key oil chokepoints amid soaring costs

As the US enters the ninth night of Iran strikes, oil has climbed to the highest level in more than a month to over US$91 a barrel.

The war with Iran has cost $37.5 billion so far, according to US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, but the bill is likely much higher, experts have told CNN.
