Europe's EV sales jumped 39.5% in June, with electric cars reaching 25.6% market share across 17 markets, and 1.24 million sold in H1 2026 as demand accelerated.

EVs and hybrids were neck and neck, but all-electric cars emerged as the top choice in Germany last month.

Germany registered 84,057 EVs in June, beating hybrids (83,315), petrol (60,796) and diesel (33,862). EVs now hold 28.4% of the market. Tesla Model Y led.
