Brent and WTI fell today as reports surfaced of ceasefire talks between the U.S. and Iran, even with missile strikes still hitting the Persian Gulf.

The international benchmark Brent crude rose almost 5% to more than $95 per barrel for the first time in almost six weeks.

Oil prices have returned to levels not seen since the beginning of June, after the US and Iran exchanged more strikes.
