Kano Government Faces Backlash For Gifting 1540 Plots Of Land, N100million To APC Members While Residents Live In Poverty

A coalition of 23 civil society organisations in Kano State has accused the state government of diverting public resources to reward loyalists of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The organisations alleged that the distribution of 1540 plots of land and ₦100 million to grassroots party leaders amounts to political patronage and violates Nigeria's Constitution and the Electoral Act.
