U.S. Central Command has confirmed that two American service members were killed on July 17 after an Iranian missile strike in Jordan. CENTCOM said it will not release the names of the deceased until next‑of‑kin notifications are complete. Tehran has also issued a public message to Jordanians following its strikes on U.S. assets, raising fresh concerns over regional escalation and diplomatic fallout.

One service member is also missing in action following the strikes in Jordan.

CENTCOM says service members died as 'partner forces defended against Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks'.
