Tinubu Signs Executive Order On Virtual Assets, Establishes Council To Coordinate Regulation

President Bola Tinubu has signed the Presidential Executive Order on Virtual Assets Coordination, 2026, establishing a new framework aimed at harmonising the regulation of virtual assets in Nigeria while strengthening cooperation among financial, revenue and capital market regulators. The State House disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday by the President's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
