NECO Counters Kogi Government On 'Miracle Centre' Claims After Release Of Officials, Students Kidnapped By Gunmen

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has rejected claims that Government Secondary School, Olowa, in the Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, where five persons were abducted during the ongoing Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), is a "miracle examination centre." The examination body made its position known in a statement issued on Friday by its Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Azeez Sani, describing the allegation as false and insisting that the school is a long-established public institution recognised by the council.
