The Kogi State Police Command has said it has launched a manhunt to rescue four persons abducted by suspected kidnappers who attacked a purported examination centre in Dekina Local Government Area of the state during the ongoing National Examinations Council (NECO) examination.

According to the command in a statement on Wednesday evening, the victims include the school principal, a NECO official and two female candidates who were sitting the examination when the gunmen attacked the centre.

In the statement signed by the Command's spokesperson, ASP Saliu Oyiza Afusat, the command said the attack took place in an abandoned Government Secondary School in Olowa community, while the centre was conducting the ongoing NECO examination for 10 candidates.
