Gopilal Samnani started a street cart in Ahmedabad in 1960. His son Arun expanded the business, introducing new flavors and technology. The shop was renamed Shankar's Ice Cream Library in 2017. It now offers over 1300 varieties, including special dietary options. This establishment has become a celebrated dessert destination in the city.
