A tense exchange unfolded during the Senate confirmation hearing for Director of National Intelligence (DNI) nominee Jay Clayton, as Sen. Angus King (I-ME) repeatedly questioned him about the 2020 presidential election and voter fraud.

Clayton testified before the Senate Intelligence committee Wednesday as part of his confirmation hearings as Trump’s new director of national intelligence.

Jay Clayton also told lawmakers he was not aware that President Donald Trump ordered the former intel chief to be present at an FBI raid of an election site in Atlanta.
