The Federal Government on Wednesday concluded its evacuation of Nigerians affected by xenophobic attacks in South Africa, with the arrival of the final repatriation flight carrying 308 returnees.

The government had earlier conducted four evacuation flights, bringing home hundreds of Nigerians as part of efforts to ensure the safety and welfare of its citizens abroad.

The final batch of 315 Nigerians is set to return from South Africa on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, following recent xenophobic attacks.
