United States President, Donald Trump, has paid more than $5.6million to writer E. Jean Carroll after a United States federal court ordered the release of funds following the conclusion of his appeal in a civil case that found him liable for sexual abuse and defamation. A court filing made public on Tuesday showed that Carroll received the payment, which covered the original $5million damages awarded by a federal jury in May 2023, along with post-judgment interest that accumulated over the past three years.

Court records show writer E. Jean Carroll has been paid over $5.6 million that a jury awarded in her sexual abuse and defamation lawsuit against President Donald Trump.

Court records show Carroll was wired a payment of $5,625,005.48 last week, in line with the court order from a federal judge.
