Saudi Arabia says it intercepted Houthi missiles fired at south

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia said it intercepted ballistic missiles fired at the country’s south by the Houthis on Monday. Saudi air defenses “have dealt with a threat from ballistic missiles launched by the terrorist Houthi militia toward the southern region,” the spokesperson for the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen Major General Turki Al-Maliki said on X. Earlier Monday, Yemen’s armed forces said they targeted the runway at Sanaa Airport on Monday in order to block an Iranian plane from landing.
