Michigan has recorded more than 2,600 cases of cyclosporiasis, the diarrhea-causing parasitic illness, as of Monday, a jump of more than 1,000 cases from Friday.

Michigan has reported over 1,200 cases of the parasitic illness that causes diarrhea.

A cyclosporiasis outbreak has affected multiple US states, causing thousands of cases of explosive diarrhoea linked to contaminated food or water.
