The 63-kilometre Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway is set to be inaugurated on July 13, with public traffic scheduled to begin from July 14. According to officials, the ₹4,700-crore project will reduce travel time between Lucknow and Kanpur from around 2.5–3 hours to nearly 35–45 minutes, while adding a six-lane access-controlled corridor with elevated sections, barrier-free tolling technology, and improved connectivity.
