Norway coach Stale Solbakken said Saturday he was convinced the ball struck an overhead camera cable before England scored a crucial equaliser in their World Cup quarter-final victory.

England's equaliser against Norway has sparked controversy after eagle-eyed fans spotted that it came as a result of the ball hitting a camera cable in the build-up.

"Just before the goal, the ball hits the cable with the camera on it ... the referee should have spotted that," a Norway coach said.
