Torrential downpours caused flash flooding in Missouri's Ozark Mountains on Friday. Hundreds were trapped by high waters along the rain-swollen Black River. National Guard helicopters rescued about 200 people from Camp Taum Sauk. Rescue teams also saved over ninety individuals from inundated homes and vehicles. No fatalities were reported as floodwaters receded later.

At least five people are unaccounted for in southeastern Missouri, officials say, amid historic flooding in the region that has prompted multiple water rescues Friday.

The unaccounted for campers in Reynolds County, Missouri, “have been located and rescued,” Reynolds County Sheriff Caleb McCoy told CNN.
