Nasdaq-listed Empery Digital said it sold 1,400 Bitcoin since May to help fuel an AI data center deal, legal bills, and other expenses.

Empery Digital is selling 1,400 Bitcoin to fund a $65M AI data center project, abandoning its Bitcoin treasury strategy less than a year after adopting it.

Empery Digital used part of the proceeds for a 25% stake in an AI data center campus project.

Nasdaq-listed Empery Digital said it sold 1,400 Bitcoin since May to help fuel an AI data center deal, legal bills, and other expenses.

Empery Digital sold 1,400 BTC for $87.1 million to repay debt, fund a property acquisition, cover legal expenses and support operations.

It's a sign of the times as the troubled company swaps its bitcoin treasury ambitions for AI data centers.
