Lagos Indigenous Group Slams Mainland Council Chairman Over Renaming Of Historic Streets, Demands Immediate Reversal

The Lagos Indigenes Development Initiative (LIACO) has strongly condemned the decision by the Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government, Jubril Kolawole Emilagba, to rename several historic streets in the council area, describing the move as an assault on Lagos' cultural heritage and historical identity. In a statement signed by its President, Olalekan Oshodi, for the group's Secretary, Abiodun Joseph Adesoye, LIACO rejected the Executive Order approving the renaming of streets.
