Documents obtained by SaharaReporters have revealed that the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP) is seeking the Nigerian Government's approval to increase the cost of two flagship projects in Ogoniland by ₦62.55 billion, despite the fact that one of the projects, the Centre of Excellence for Environmental Restoration (CEER), is already 96.64 per cent completed.
