The shooting occurred around 4 a.m. after soldiers and local police pursued an armed individual who allegedly turned toward the guardsmen with a weapon. Tyrin Johnson, 20, was identified as the man killed, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating the circumstances of the incident.
