The victim, widely reported as 58-year-old Cypriot national Vadym Iermolaiev, a wealthy businessman originally from Ukraine, was injured alongside a woman and a 13-year-old child in a targeted attack. The bomb, placed in the lobby of a luxury building, was reportedly triggered remotely as Iermolaiev approached, with the woman victim remaining in critical condition after having both legs amputated. Iermolaiev, a controversial figure, renounced his Ukrainian citizenship in 2017 and has been sanctioned by Kyiv for alleged collaboration with Russia, accusations he has fiercely denied.
