Some of the 12 permanent franchises in the NBA’s planned European basketball league have not yet attracted bids in excess of $500m.

The NBA's plan for its new European league includes shared equity, performance distributions, a pro rata share of net income, a salary cap, and more.

NBA Europe is on track to launch in October 2027 and had multiple groups bid more than $1 billion to secure franchises in the latest round of bidding.
