HC refuses relief to Abhishek Banerjee in voice sample case

The Calcutta High Court has denied Trinamool leader Abhishek Banerjee's request to avoid providing voice samples to the CID. The samples are needed for an investigation into alleged violence-inciting remarks made during a campaign rally. Justice Trithankar Ghosh noted Banerjee already has interim protection from arrest, deeming further protection unnecessary. The judge also recused himself from the case.
