Civil Society Coalition Protests At Jabi Lake, FCDA Over Alleged Commercialisation Of Abuja Public Spaces

A coalition of activists and civil society groups on Tuesday staged a protest at the Jabi Lake in Abuja, condemning what they described as the commercialisation and gradual takeover of the public recreational space by private interests. The demonstrators, drawn from different advocacy groups, assembled at Jabi Lake before marching to the headquarters of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), where they demanded an immediate halt to what they called the privatisation of public assets.
