ASUU Threatens Indefinite Strike In Edo, Delta, Ondo Universities Over Unimplemented 2025 Agreement

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Benin Zone, has issued a deadline to the governments of Edo, Delta and Ondo states, warning that lecturers in seven state-owned universities will embark on an indefinite strike if the provisions of the 2025 Federal Government/ASUU Agreement are not implemented before the end of July. The union announced the ultimatum on Monday during a press conference in Benin City, accusing the three state governments of failing to implement the agreement despite six months of engagements and appeals.
