Police say five people have been killed in a shooting in Stade, Germany. A suspect has been arrested, according to the German news agency dpa.

A large police operation is underway in the northern German city after several shots were fired. Several people are reported dead and authorities say it is a "dynamic situation."

Local media reported that the incident had taken place in a youth centre in central Stade.
