The Supreme Court on Monday dramatically expanded presidential power, upholding President Donald Trump’s firings of the heads of independent federal agencies with one important exception, the Federal Reserve.

The Supreme Court has dealt a major blow to Trump’s revenge quests, as well as his attempt to control the Federal Reserve.

Trump first tried to fire Cook last year, alleging issues with her personal mortgage, which she denies.

The Supreme Court issued its ruling in the latest instance of President Donald Trump's war on the Federal Reserve.
