Himachal Pradesh: Pre-Monsoon Flushing Begins at Larji Hydel Dam

Pre-monsoon flushing operations at the 126 MW Larji Hydel power station commenced Sunday, aiming to clear accumulated silt. Officials anticipate the process will conclude Monday, temporarily halting electricity generation. Around 2000 cusecs of water will be released into the Beas River, with downstream residents alerted. The dam's gates will be opened in a controlled manner to facilitate the cleaning, after which power generation will resume.
