Baltic states urge the EU to accelerate its Russian oil import ban ahead of the 2027 deadline, as imports have already dropped from 27% to roughly 2%.

Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania have called on the EU to expedite the implementation of a ban on Russian oil imports.

The Baltic states have urged Brussels to speed up delayed plans to ban imports of Russian oil, as EU fears of a major energy crisis caused by the war in Iran did not materialise.
