PM Modi begins Seychelles visit, receives warm welcome from President Herminie and Indian diaspora

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Seychelles on a State Visit as the Guest of Honour for the country's Golden Jubilee National Day celebrations. Welcomed by President Patrick Herminie and senior dignitaries, PM Modi visited the National Botanical Garden in Victoria. PM Modi also fed giant tortoises, including Jonathan, regarded as the world's oldest living land animal. The visit aims to strengthen India-Seychelles ties, deepen maritime cooperation and further enhance bilateral partnership in the Indian Ocean region.
