The Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), Lagos State Branch, has accused the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) of frustrating the prosecution of suspects who allegedly confessed to abducting and selling a three-year-old boy, Ibrahim Owodunni, six months ago. The group warned that the DPP’s continued delay in issuing its legal advice on the case could result in the suspects regaining their freedom while the child remains missing.
